Journeys in Song: The Manchester Song Festival returns for its second year in spring 2020, with a full day of musical participation and discovery culminating in a recital by celebrated baritone Roderick Williams.

The journey starts at 1pm with a lunchtime concert by the RNCM Songsters, a specially selected group of gifted singers and pianists who share a passion for song repertoire, and present programmes of flair and imagination. For The Manchester Song Festival they will present a colourful journey across Europe and beyond, to lands exotic and enchanting, performing works by Robert Schumann, Wolf, Finzi and Barber.

4.30pm Nicky Spence Masterclass
7.30pm Roderick Williams Performance

The RNCM Songsters will present a colourful journey across Europe and beyond. Previous recitals include appearances at The English Music Festival, Leeds International concert Season/Leeds Lieder, The Stoller Hall, and the Opera Comique in Paris, They also recently recorded a series of songs by Sir Arthur Sullivan with the renown pianist David Owen Norris.
